09. What is The Function of Air Compressor Control Cabinet?

  1. In the joint control state, press the start button of any air compressor unit, and after 2 seconds (this time is configurable), the unit will start running. After 20 seconds (this time can be set), the next unit will start until all units are running (the first running unit is the main unit, and then the second running unit is the auxiliary and backup unit). If the pressure of the pipeline network has reached the predetermined low limit, the units that have not been started will no longer be started.
  2. After the pressure reaches the high limit of the pipeline network, the joint control cabinet sends an unloading, and after a delay of 5 minutes (this time is configurable), the standby machine automatically stops. If still in the unloading state, automatically stop the auxiliary machine after a delay of 10 minutes (this time is configurable). If the unloading signal continues to exist, the last machine will automatically stop after a further delay of 20 minutes (this time is configurable).
  3. The input and modification of data include setting the upper and lower limits of compressed air main pipeline pressure, the main compressor switching time, the interval time after air compressors’ shutdown before restarting, the start delay time for the main compressor, secondary compressor, and backup compressor, as well as the shutdown delay time for these compressors. When the pipeline pressure is lower than the lower limit set value, a loading signal is generated, and after a delay of 20 seconds(this time is configurable), the secondary compressor automatically starts running. If the pipeline pressure remains below the set value, the backup compressor starts running automatically after a delay of 20 seconds (this time is configurable).
  4. After any unit fails, it will be automatically cut out of the joint control state, and the remaining units will still start and stop automatically according to the preset program control requirements to meet the pressure requirements of the pipe network, and send out fault sound and light signals.
  5. The system will automatically track the operating times of each unit and initiate automatic main compressor switching to ensure balanced runtime across all units. This is done to distribute the operational load evenly among the compressors.
  6. According to the requirements of the system, each air compressor can be cut out of the joint control state at will.
  7. The system is equipped with the capability to transmit signals to the central control room. These signals include operation status signals for each individual unit (running, idle, etc.), signals for empty run too long time (for each unit), signals for heavy fault (for each unit), signals for light fault (for each unit), sound alarm signals (for both light and heavy faults), a permissive start signal received from the central control room (passive contact), signals indicating the status of the main compressor, signals indicating the power status of the air compressors, and all operations and displays are accessible through the control panel interface. This comprehensive set of signals and features enhances the monitoring, control, and communication capabilities of the air compression system, allowing efficient management from the central control room.
